Long Live McQueen!

As the trumpets blew and the choir began it's morning song, the world held its breath as we waited to see... THE dress. Catherine Middleton did not disappoint us with her choice of a timeless Alexander McQueen gown with intricate lace detail. It had just the perfect amount of grandure without being O.T.T, she really did look like a princess. Kates dress was a great example of how a designer can manipulate their work into more wearable pieces as oppossed to their runway statements that are often conceptual and daring. McQueen for example has shown gowns much more embellished than Kates dress in her recent shows (see photo's below). However, there is no doubt that McQueen style dresses will now be in vouge for the next century of modern brides. What better endorsement can you have than gowns that are fit for a queen?
