bride of the month - july

Best Friend - Noun. - The one friend who is closest to you;
a person you know well and regard with affection and trust.
There is something special about a bride who openly regards her husband as 'her best friend'. Hollie, our July bride of the month, chose those words when describing the highlight of her day - "The best part of my day was marrying my best friend". While our bride loved being with her groom, jensen|andrews loved her simple and elegant gown with vintage flowers made from her mothers own veil, the sunning backdrop of the beach perfectly that complemented the tasteful wedding tones and the use of the age old classic gypsophila for wedding bouquets. Hollie, we wish you and your BFF all the best for the future, and jensen|andrews fans, take note of this stunning bride.

bride of the month-june

Jess wore an organic looking, drop waist dress with vintage lace details.  Simply gorgeous! The cute details made their wedding something special, with guests able to take their pick from the lolly table and ice-cream stand during afternoon tea, and Nana's preserves were given out as wedding favors. As the photos show, these two are a couple who always laugh together and are very much in love.

Thanks to Bayly and Moore for the photos, check out their fabulous work here.

bride of the month-may

Bula! Welcome to May's Bride of the month, Natasha Murry, whose picturesque wedding took place on the isle of Fiji in an intimate ceremony of close family and friends. Timed as the last rays of summer were disappearing in the southern hemisphere, this summery and fun-filled wedding was a joy to attend. We were lucky enough to be a part of Nat's special day, designing the bridal accessories for the bridesmaids and groomsmen. We loved the way Nat's character was displayed in every aspect of her day, it was truly a beautiful occasion.

Long Live McQueen!

As the trumpets blew and the choir began it's morning song, the world held its breath as we waited to see... THE dress. Catherine Middleton did not disappoint us with her choice of a timeless Alexander McQueen gown with intricate lace detail. It had just the perfect amount of grandure without being O.T.T, she really did look like a princess. Kates dress was a great example of how a designer can manipulate their work into more wearable pieces as oppossed to their runway statements that are often conceptual and daring. McQueen for example has shown gowns much more embellished than Kates dress in her recent shows (see photo's below). However, there is no doubt that McQueen style dresses will now be in vouge for the next century of modern brides. What better endorsement can you have than gowns that are fit for a queen?
